A BLUE AND WHITE 'LOTUS' BOWL AND DISH
20TH CENTURY
The interior of the bowl and dish are decorated in varying tones of blue with a central roundel containing a lotus pond surrounded by a border of scrolling foliage. The exteriors are each decorated with four roundels enclosing the characters Ji xiang ru yi which may be translated as "May all your wishes come true" on a cross-hatch lotus scroll ground.
The dish 6 3/8 in. (16.3 cm.) diam.
