A RECTANGULAR ZITAN DOCUMENT-BOX AND COVER
19TH CENTURY
The box is fitted with an interior tray and the exterior is mounted at either end with loop handles falling to a circular knocking plate, the front is mounted with a shaped circular lockplate and ruyi-shaped lock, the top has ruyi-head mounts at the corners. The wood has a rich deep tone.
8 x 16 ½ x 9 5/8 in. (20.5 x 42 x 24.5 cm.)
