A LARGE PAIR OF CANTONESE FAMILLE ROSE VASES
19TH CENTURY
Each vase is applied with Buddhist lion and cub handles and four kui dragons on the shoulder. The body and neck of each vase is decorated with panels enclosing warriors and officials on foot and horseback, reserved on a floral ground interspersed with fruit and exotic birds. The foliate rims are decorated with a band of flowers and pomegranate.
