The group comprises: a small hair pin decorated with bats and auspicious symbols; a 'bats and peaches' kingfisher feather and rose quartz rectangular appliqué; a headband decorated with the attributes of the Eight Immortals; and a pear of earrings with rose quartz pendants.

The Collection of Werner Forman (1921-2010), acquired from the 1950s to the1990s. Czech-born Werner Forman was an award-winning art photographer and co-author of more than 150 illustrated books. He built an extensive and eclectic collection of Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Islamic and tribal art and bought from dealers and auctions worldwide.
