A PAIR OF SILVER GILT FILIGREE 'PHOENIX' HAIRPINS
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644) OR LATER
Each pin-head is formed by a delicately worked phoenix looking over its shoulder. Their feathers are intricately rendered gilt filigree and they are perched on a small leaf attached to the cylindrical tapering shafts.
