A GILT-LACQUERED BRONZE FIGURE OF THE BUDDHA
THAILAND, RATNAKOSIN PERIOD, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Cast, seated in sattvasana on a lotus base placed on a plinth, his right hand in bhumisparshamudra, the left resting on his lap, wearing a samghati, his face with serene expression, the mother-of-pearl inlaid eyes under heavy eyelids and arched eyebrows, with curled hair rising to the ushnisha, the robe decorated with floral motifs
