THAILAND, CHIENG SEN PERIOD, 15TH CENTURY AND THAILAND, AYUTTHAYA PERIOD, 17TH CENTURY
Cast, the first with serene expression, his downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, with elongated earlobes and curled hair rising to the ushnisha; the second with serene facial expression, with mother-of-pearl inlaid eyes under arched eyebrows, with elongated earlobes, the curled hair rising to a flame above the ushnisha, each on wooden stand
9 ¼ in. (23.5 cm.) high, on wooden stand and 14 3/8 in. (36.5 cm.) high, on wooden stand

The 15th century Buddha head: acquired in Bangkok, 8 August 1973.
The 17th century Buddha head: acquired in Bangkok, 26 June 1974.
