Lot Essay

With Jaeger-LeCoultre instruction manual, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

With the ideology of creating well-crafted Minute Repeating timepieces that can chime with superb melody, harmony, and volume, Jaeger-LeCoultre has successfully charmed the attention of watch connoisseurs with their modern repeating watches.
The present lot created by Jaeger-LeCoultre beautifully exemplifies the repeating mechanism. Every single detail of the watch is designed to provide greater amplitude when the watch chimes, for example skeletonized movement is not only mesmerizing when admired it can also provide more room inside the case and as a result produce a sound of greater volume. Furthermore, to enhance a greater and clearer volume of chimes, the minute repeating mechanism in this watch is equipped with patented “crystal cathedral gongs.” The gong has its heel directly attached to the sapphire’s crystal, allowing the vibrations, which is initially trapped in the case to be transmitted outward. In other words, it ensures that the sound of the striking gongs will be louder and clearer.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has created the present watch to stay true to the spirit of the Master Grande Traditional line.  It once again reflects the magnificent artistry of the brand.
