Lot Essay

With Richard Mille undated Warranty, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

As the sibling of the hugely successful and ground breaking RM027 Rafael Nadal, first introduced in 2011 and followed by RM027-01 in 2013, the RM035 embodied all of the spirit of the more complicated tourbillon in a Chronofiable® certified time only piece.

The case of the RM035 is made of a magnesium-aluminium alloy allowing it to be both light and strong, which is then given a black electro-plasma oxidisation treatment to increase scratch and corrosion resistance. The baseplate, bridges and balance cock of the movement are made of black PVD coated grade 5 titanium, allowing the movement to be very rigid even with its incredible low weight of 4.3 grams to give a total all in weight for the watch of 45.8 grams.

The RM035 is a fine example of how Richard Mille combines cutting edge materials and technologies to produce watches which push the limits of what is believed possible in the world of horology.
