Lot Essay

With Jaeger-LeCoultre undated Certificat de Garantie, instruction manual, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

Introduced in 2000 in a limited edition of 500 pieces in pink gold, the present Reverso Quantième Perpétuel is numbered 330/500 and was the final large-size pink gold Reverso with complications produced before the line was redesigned. The Reverso was originally designed as a watch for polo players and has become Jaeger-LeCoultre's best-selling model. The reverse side of the dial contained a steel panel that would protect the dial and crystal of the watch during a polo match. The idea was conceived by Swiss traveler Cesar de Trey in 1930, and production began in 1931.
