Lot Essay

This bear previously belonged to Leslie Tudor Cochran, a music hall artist and composer in the 1920s and 1930s, nephew of Sir Charles Cochran the impresario. He is pictured in the photographs age 4 years with his bear and in his early twenties playing the piano.
