Lot Essay

All accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated October, 2012, product literature, a Patek Philippe presentation box, Patek Philippe presentation slipcase and outer packaging.

The 5130 was launched in 2006 and replaced the 5110 with a case that was 2mm larger than its predecessor. Special editions were made for Mecca, Dubai, Shanghai, and Istanbul showing various respective cities on the dial and different color dials. The presently offered set offers the rare variant of customized baguette set bezels.

This lot represents the first time this mesmerizing set of Ref. 5130s has appeared at auction. Made with extraordinary detail showcasing the art of the watchmaker combined with the art of the jeweler. Possibly but not confirmed as unique, this set was made for the Middle Eastern market in 2012 by special request. Each watch features a unique reference number indicating the color of stones used on each timepiece. The set contains a white gold world time with 44 sapphires (3.18 carats), a rose gold world time with 44 rubies (3.18 carats), a platinum with 44 diamonds (3.13 carats), and finally a second platinum example with 44 emeralds (2.22 carats). Each platinum watch also features a single .017 carat diamond set between the lugs.

Mint and complete with original boxes and papers, this unworn set of watches offers the unique opportunity to own a rare variant of watches that represent the superlative quality of Patek Philippe’s finest workmanship in the 21st century.
