'Monty' the veteran bear, has been a great comfort and friend to several members of the Hibbert family since World war II. He was given to Peter Hibbert my his mother, Marie, and dressed in army uniform by his aunt, Coralia.

Given as a mascot, 'Monty' accompanied Peter Hibbert in the Tank Regiment until 1944 when sadly news arrived home that both sons, Peter and his elder brother Edward, a pilot in the Air Force, were 'missing presumed dead'.

'Monty' was returned home to Peter's parents Alfred and Marie Hibbert. After their death. 'Monty' reamined with Aunt Coralia.
