We will give you 2 weeks free storage from the date of the sale and after that point charges apply. All other lots will be held at Christie''s South Kensington until 5pm the fifth Friday after the sale. It will then be transferred to Cadogan Tate.

The Camel was almost certainly carved by ‘Matthieu of Bagnolet’, a father and son carving firm in the Paris suburb between 1925 and 1960. An almost identical example sold at the Francois Marchal Collection at the Paris Drouot in September 2011.
