The double-ratchetted adjustable rectangular top with spring mechanism and with removable book rest, above a frieze drawer enclosing a writing-slide and a compartment, with mille-rais plaques within ebony lines, with a writing-slide to each end, on square tapering legs terminating with later sabots, stamped twice 'J.H.RIESENER'
