Details
Chapelle Chambertin, Bouchard Père & Fils 2005
Grand Cru, Côte de Nuits
Tasting note: Four barrels were made, from purchased grapes, and the wine had not yet been racked, when tasted on 17 November 2006. Colour is medium deep red, with browning rim, not yet perfectly clear; nose expresses yeast and farm-yard notes, calling for aeration at its racking so the aromas may clear; palate shows intense fruitiness, fine tannins and excellent potential. A.H.
