Meursault – Charmes, Bouchard Père & Fils 1846
1er Cru, Côte de Beaune
Recorked in 2013
Tasting note:
Beautiful amber colour with green and orange highlights. Citrus fragrance, mineral notes with a fresh walnut skin character. On the palate the wine is rich with vibrant acidity. Tasted on 22 October 2003. B.P.F.
Tasted 17 November 2006. This was then the oldest bottle in the Bouchard cellars. Beautiful, pale golden colour, with some violet at rim; amontillado character on nose, also pineapple and dry, honeyed character - with freshness, and not a touch of oxidation. Palate is full, round and fresh, with bright finish. Shows astonishing richness with freshness. A.H.
