Meursault – Genévrières, Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils 2005
1er Cru, Côte de Beaune
Tasting note:
These grapes were picked early (before the official vintage start) in order to retain essential acidity and freshness. Aged in 20% new oak, colour is pale, green-lemon, the nose being nutty, spicy and rich. Palate shows real beauty, not voluminous but intensely structured, with magnificent, fresh length. Barrel-sample. Tasted on 17 November 2006. A.H.
From Magnum. Butter and hazelnuts aromas, a typical Meursault. Soft and mouth filling with intense and nutty flavours. Balanced acidity. Very good. Last tasted at the Château de Beaune in November 2015. E.V.
