Montrachet, Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils 1885

Recorked in 1992. In 1885 the Burgundy harvest commences on 26 September under rainy skies. Bouchard waited until 7 October for full maturity and without rain they harvested the grapes in their part of the Montrachet vineyard.
Tasting note: Pale gold colour suggesting a much more youthful wine if we did not know the vintage. Toasted almonds notes precede an exhilarating palate that is wonderfully developed. Tasted on 7 January 1992. B.P.F.
