A CARVED MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND WOOD SNUFF BOTTLE
THE YAJI MASTER, JAPAN, 1860-1930
The bottle is set on each side with a carved shell panel, one side depicting He Xiangu with a basket of flowers, the reverse with two scholars in a landscape, the narrow sides set with raised bosses and geometric patterns in carved shell.
2 5/8 in. (6.6 cm.) high, glass stopper
