A DEHUA FIGURE OF GUANYIN
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The figure is shown seated with her left arm resting on a prunus branch and her right arm holding a ruyi scepter, and wearing loose robes open at the chest to reveal a bejeweled necklace. Her hair is dressed in a knotted plait secured with a hairpin trailing down on either side of her shoulders. The back of the figure is impressed with a He Chaozong yin mark.
