Harry Houdini
Two typescript letters, signed, one from Toledo, Ohio, March 7th, 1907, to a fan thanking him for his interesting letter and telling him ...I am very much obliged to you for your correction, re Robert Houdin's Theatre, as I was under the impression that I had witnessed the performance on a Saturday. The cuff mentioned in my magazine if (sic) worthless and is sold by certain people that I know are un-reliable...we will be in Paris early next year... signed in pencil 1p and corresponding envelope decorated with a printed vignette; the second letter on Houdini, 84 Bedford Court Mansions, London, W.C. headed paper, November 2nd, 1910, telling him ..Re Mr Trowbridge's book, I have seen a copy, but have not had much time to "study" it...re the French Milk Can, it is so slovenly made that I have no fear of mine being put into comparison, as I purchased one, to see what it was made like and it is obtaining money under false pretenses selling them. I am at Hammersmith this week, Islington next week...Houdini, 1p (2)
