Lot Essay

The broad areas of white veining in the dark grey stone can be viewed as areas of snow blanketing the peaks and sides of the mountain. The deep cleft between the two peaks is ideal for resting a brush. The stone has an attractive patina enhanced by traces of red seal paste.
