The first chronograph-only timepiece developed by Patek Philippe after decades, the reference 5070 was created in 1998 and produced until 2010. First released in yellow gold, the timepiece was later crafted in white gold, pink gold and platinum.

Now discontinued, it is estimated that only 1000 chronographs were made in pink gold.

With a 42 mm case, the wristwatch was crafted with a metallic dial, painted in a different colour subject to the case material. Second largest wristwatch produced by Patek Philippe at the time of its launch, the reference 5070 has become throughout the years one of the most sought after chronograph wristwatch.
