Special Charity View in Aid of The Evelina Children's Hospital Appeal
Saturday 16 December 1995 -- 10.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.
The saleroom will be transformed with engines, carriages, wagons, buildings and accessories for model and toy railways in abundance.
The proceeds of catalogues sold on the day will be donated to the above charity.
Admission is (1.00 donation
The Evelina Children's Hospital Appeal
The Children's Unit at St. Thomas' Hospital is part of the Evelina Children's Hospital, Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital Trust; Seymour Ward is a twenty bed surgical ward, whilst Helen Ward takes the medical cases. Both wards cater for a wide age range and children come from all social backgrounds.
Great emphasis is placed on play and education which we see as valuable in enhancing a child's development. At present we have two hospital play specialists but sadly lost our school room three years ago. Recently we have identified space for a new school room and we are now thinking about refurbishing and equipping it. Donations made will greatly assist in our plans, at the same time as benefitting the needs of the children admitted to the unit.
