The firm was a brand of Glashütte’s Uhrenfabrik AG (UFAG) and launched the first German two pusher chronograph wristwatch with flyback function in 1941, the movements used the UROFA (Uhren-Rohwerke-Fabrik Glashütte AG) calibre 59. At the end of 1945 production ceased when the manufacture was transferred to Moscow in order to produce chronographs for the Soviet Air Force. Examples of Tutima chronograph watches are illustrated in Military Timepieces by Konrad Knirim, pp. 365 - 372, and in Military Wristwatches by Michele Galizia, pp. 132 – 135.We are indebted to Konrad Knirim for his valuable assistance in researching these watches.
