A HONGMU MARBLE-INSET DEMILUNE CONSOL TABLE
19TH CENTURY
The foliate-form top is inset with a mottled marble panel of russet, ochre and white tone, supported on four cabriole legs terminating in dragon-head feet, joined together by crossed stretchers carved to the centre with a toad on a rock. The elaborate frieze is carved with a central cartouche enclosing a dragon, all surrounded by fruiting grape vines.
