A PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE 'BOYS' BOWLS
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each bowl is decorated to the exterior with five boys holding leafy stems, separated by lotus blooms, all on a scrolling foliate ground. The interiors are painted with a central roundel enclosing a body seated on a lotus flower.

A similar bowl from the collection of the Norton Museum of Art, Florida, USA, was sold at Christie's New York, 4-5 April 2006, lot 359.
