A CHINESE EXPORT SEATED PUG DOG
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The snub-nosed dog has clipped ears and is modelled with its mouth slightly open and its tongue visible. Its iron-red collar is hung with a gilt bell and its fur coat naturalistically detailed in black enamels.
