THE 'ORCHIDS' BOWL, DAOGUANG PERIOD (1821-1850)
THE 'CHRYSANTHEMUM AND BUTTERFLIES' BOWL, GUANGXU FOUR-CHARACTER MARK IN IRON-RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1875-1908)
The conical bowl is decorated with orchids growing from rocks, beside an inscription ending with a renchen cyclical date, with a cheng'en tang zhi mark to the base. The other bowl is decorated with butterflies amidst chrysanthemum flowers.
The largest, 7 ½ in. (19 cm.) diam.
