A QINGBAI CARVED OPENWORK CENSER AND COVER AND A QINGBAI BOWL AND COVER
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
The censer is covered all over with a pale blue, lightly crackled glaze, the centre of the bowl is applied with a hollow cylindrical fitting, the openwork domed cover is surmounted with a knop finial. The bowl and cover with lotus petal decoration.
The censer, 6 ¼ in. (16 cm.) high
Provenance
Property from a private Belgian collection, acquired in the 1960's and 1970's.
