A LARGE LONGQUAN CELADON JAR AND COVER
YUAN-MING DYNASTY, 14TH CENTURY
The jar is carved with a wide band of peony scroll above a petal band encircling the base, the cover similarly carved. It is covered all over in a celadon glaze of bluish-green tone pooling a deeper colour in places.
