A MIDNIGHT-BLUE-GROUND LADY’S INFORMAL ROBE
LATE 19TH CENTURY
The robe is decorated with scattered peony, rose and narcissus sprays amongst butterflies in flight, all in floss silks and Peking Knot. The cream cloud collar is decorated with figures and the sleevebands are decorated with birds.
