Engraved title, 4 engravings, including a world map (repeated), woodcut text illustrations, woodcut historiated initials, complete with the letterpress title with Cologne imprint; variant title with two lines of text above the author's name, and the shield with Jesuit emblem and with a surmount. (Marginal chip to L1, short marginal tear to R1, Nn1 misbound between Ll6 and Mm1, faint dampstaining to a few gatherings at end.) Later polished calf (endpapers renewed).
