SIGNED CHEVALIER & COCHET, NO. 6582, CIRCA 1795 MOVEMENT: Manual, Cal. 19’’’, quarter repeating on two hammers either onto a bell or à toc onto the case, chosen by a sliding lever in the band DIAL: Small white enamel, Breguet numerals, surrounded by an applied vari-coloured gold scene depicting two cherubs striking on two bells suspended from a Chinese Pagoda while lifelike water is running from two sides into a fountain in which a swan is bathing, all in unison with the repeating, champlevé turquoise and black enamel background CASE: 18k pink gold, repeating through the pendant, 60 mm. diam.
