Pratt was Lord Chancellor and a leading proponent of civil liberties in 18th Century England. He was created 1st Earl of Camden in 1766. Whitefoord was elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 1784, Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1788 and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He was a diplomat and wine merchant. Charles Bingham, 1st Earl of Lucan was a politician and Irish Peer. He was elected Member of Parliament for both Castlebar and Mayo in 1761 and for Northampton from 1782 to 1784.
