Lot Essay

The present Patek Philippe reference 2582 is one of the rarest and largest vintage “time-only” watches ever made by the company. The movement is the caliber 27 SC featuring 18 jewels, a Gyromax balance, and a gold rotor on the ball-bearing system.

The two-piece case with snap case back is the star of the show of this watch. Made by the legendary Geneva firm Markowsky, who made some of the most dynamic cases for Patek Philippe, they are believed to have produced less than 50 total cases in pink and yellow gold, from which only approximately five, all in yellow gold, have surfaced to the market.

Combining the rarity of the watch with its magnificent condition makes this an exciting opportunity for those ranging from beginner to advanced watch collectors to add an important, rare, and exciting Patek Philippe to their collection.
