Lot Essay

The first large Calatrava wristwatch produced in series, the reference 570 began production in 1938. In 1939 the SC version (seconds du centre) was introduced. Like the present example, its proportions are harmonious, echoing that of the very first ever referenced Calatrava, reference 96, the only difference being the diameter size. From the second series of this reference, to the best of our knowledge this watch has never been offered before in public and is in nearly mint condition.
