First editions of both works, Tales being the third printing, with copyright notice in 3 lines, and no imprint on copyright page. It is usually the second and third printings of the Tales which were reissued in the one-volume format with the first edition of The Raven. Copies are found with either Tales or The Raven bound first.

Half-titles; 2 pp. integral advertisements at end of each work (without terminal signature [8] containing ads following The Raven and without signature [17] containing ads following Tales). (Some minor browning and occasional spotting.) Original publisher's blind-stamped blue cloth (spine defective with some chipping and loss); folding case. Provenance: Mary W.
