A pair of Chinese lacquer and giltwood temple stands each carved with two boys flanking a shou-character on a rectangular base, painted with bats among clouds and geometric motifs, on seperate tapering rectangular stands, painted and gilt with bands of scrolling lotus below further bats and clouds -- 59in. (149.8cms) high overall.
