painted with a continuous river landscape scene with figures crossing a bridge on foot and horseback before a group of moored boats, further figures before pavilions and a shrine, set amongst pine and rockwork, all within borders of lappets and ruyi heads reserved with peony sprays, the rim with a band of trailing foliage -- 20in. (50.8cm.) diam, elaborately pierced and carved wood stand, decorated with mythicial beasts amongst foliage and archaic motifs -- the stand 36in. (91.5cm.) high, (jardiniere with minor fritting, stand with minor wormage).
