Recorked and rewaxed by Francisco Albuquerque, new wax capsules. Stained labels, one damaged in lot 359. Levels into neck
Tasting note: Intense high toned nose with crème brulée and floral aromas. Nicely opening up after some time in the glass. Straw. At first smell the wine appeared a bit tired. Etheral, focused start of taste, fine, butter scotch but remaining dry aromas in the mouth. Nice canteiro aged acidity on the finish. Very nice Sercial. Classic a bit rough with long lingering taste. Strikingly butterscotch on the flavor. After half an hour more inviting nose of firestone, salty even, high toned still. Smokey tones. Fresh acidity. Getter better with time in the glass. June 2016.
