A PAIR OF YELLOW-ENAMELLED MOULDED ARCHAISTIC RITUAL FOOD VESSELS AND COVERS, GUI

QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
Of oblong section, each vessel is decorated with bands of archaistic motifs, with a pair of loop handles surmounted by dragon heads, and is raised on a pedestal base with domed lower section. The domed cover is decorated en suite and in the center with a foliated dragon amidst clouds surrounded by four upright flanges with scalloped edges. The vessel is covered overall with an enamel of deep yellow colour.
