A WHITE JADE INSCRIBED OVAL BOX AND COVER
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The cover is reserved in the centre with an elliptical cartouche enclosing a poetic inscription followed by two seals Qian and Long, encircled by four taotie masks. The shallow box has a short foot of conforming shape. The stone is of a warm white tone with russet streaks and faint mottling.
