2 volumes, 2° (267 x 182mm). Folding engraved frontispiece of the author, 5 folding engraved plates (of 6?) including 4 views of Etna and one map. (Faint dampstaining to plate 3, some spotting and minor dampstaining to first few leaves of vol. II, occasional finger soiling, a few small tears to bottom margins.) Contemporary half vellum (some small wormholes to spines, slight loss to foot of spine on vol. II). Provenance: ‘Il Sig[nore] Cav[allieri] il Commend[atore] F. Cesare Borgia/ Gaspare Gambino nipote dell’autore’ (inscription on title) -- Biblioteca Gerosolimitana (library stamps and labels).
