8° (160 x 94mm). Numerous woodcut diagrams. (A few light spots or small stains, a few tiny marginal wormholes, part of lower margin of p.91 excised.) Modern vellum, old vellum partially laid down on spine and sides.
Second edition, first published in Venice in 1551. Simi, an Italian mathematician and astronomer, taught arithmetic and astronomy in Bologna. Houzeau and Lancaster 2553: ‘rare’; Riccardi II, 458.
