A GREYISH-CELADON JADE 'LOTUS AND CRANE' VASE
19TH CENTURY
The vase is carved and pierced in the form of a large beribboned lotus leaf, its foot formed by a long trailing stalk, a flower and crane to one side. The stone is of a greyish-celadon tone with some veins and creamy white flecks.
5 1/8 in. (13 cm.) high
Provenance
From the collection of a distinguished private European collector, acquired in London in the 1960s.
