A PAIR OF CARVED 'IMITATION BRONZE' VASES, FANGHU
TONGZHI SIX-CHARACTER INCISED SEAL MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1862-1874)
Each vase is intricately carved to the exterior on each side with a roundel of stylised dragon scrolls surrounding a shou character, below four characters in seal script, all reserved on a leiwen ground.
11 ¾ in. (30 cm.) high

Acquired in the USA by the vendor's mother in the late 1970s, then by descent.
By repute, formerly in the collection of the Oakland Museum of California, Oakland, USA.
