A GILT-LACQUERED WOOD FIGURE OF GUANYIN
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The Goddess of Mercy is shown seated in rajalitasana with her hands held forward. She is wearing loose robes tied up around the waist and open at the chest to reveal a bejewelled necklace, the hair is tied in a top knot covered by a cowl and her face is modelled with a serene expression.
