拍品专文

A plate with the same very rare design is illustrated in Deutsches Porzellan des 18. Jahrhunderts, Museum für Kunsthandwerk catalogue, Frankfurt, 1983, p. 78, cat. no. 80. The present lot, and the example in the Frankfurt museum, would appear to be from a service which pre-dates the armorial service made for Johann Christian von Hennickes (the deputy head of the Meissen factory), which also features similar Chinese-style medallions at the centre of the dishes.
